In 2015, 24 years old Liwei joined the company as part of 2 years management associate programme. As a management associate, she gets to try her hands at the different departments in the company. As Liwei had always wanted to be a part of the event industry, she chose to grow her career in the events team at the end of her management associate program.
Event planning is not an easy path, the path is full of twists and turns, and ups and downs. There were challenging times especially when things just went downhill with all sorts of unexpected problems and you can’t just do anything about it (shit happens!). Events planning might not be an easy path, but it is a path of learning and endless opportunity. When unexpected problems arise, she will reflect on the challenges she faced and to learn and improve from the mistakes.
What drives her to keep going in this industry is the happy smiles of her clients during their big day/celebration and sense of satisfaction after every successful events and. She also values every feedbacks and relationship she builds with the numerous clients she worked with over the 5 years. In fact, some of her “old clients” has transited into her “friends” as she still keeps in touch with them.
No matter how busy her work life is, she will always make time to spend with her loved ones. When work becomes too stressful, she will remain positive and try to keep a work-life balance through doing what she enjoys on her off days such as shopping or travelling.
